HOW THIS ROLE SUPPORTS OUR VISION
99Degrees knows that in order for a US apparel manufacturer to compete in the global supply chain, we have to combine unprecedented speed and agility with innovation and technology. This role is central to our model, to our capability, and to our vision for the future of US apparel manufacturing. We are transitioning from a CMT to FOB service provider while scaling aggressively. You will apply your business knowledge and supply chain planning & purchasing experience to procure materials, schedule production and ensure that our speed model runs smoothly and according to revenue, cost, and quality targets.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
This position is responsible for the overall materials and production planning for both CMT and FOB business, including vendor relationship management, and purchasing raw materials from domestic and overseas suppliers. You will plan and manage the production schedule to ensure that production has all required materials and information to meet customer demands. You will also:

Advance collaboration and partnerships with fabric, trims, and embellishment vendors to strengthen and tighten our international and domestic supply chains.

Analyze market and delivery conditions to determine current and future availability of materials and supplies.

Assist in the establishment of capabilities that will support transition to full package production.

Create purchase orders; maintain accurate open PO lines to define inbound quantities and due dates from suppliers

Plan, schedule, and manage material to support demand-driven domestic production.

Coordinate with customers who provide materials and trims. Negotiates with suppliers for the remaining materials and coordinates delivery to ensure on-time production start.

Identify potential supply risks and inventory exposures by aligning supply chain processes with product development project plan and production calendar milestones.

Support the apparel manufacturing process by providing capacity planning, order processing and scheduling and production performance reporting.

Introduce and supports the launch of new systems and processes for inventory, materials management, and production planning.

Manage the planning and implementation of activities relating to timeliness, cost-inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials.

And any other related task that the supervisor deems to be necessary.

and have the following qualifications:
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering or related field; or relevant experience.

3-5 years of demand/supply planning in MRP/ERP systems or comparable role and/or understanding of production planning.

Highly proficient in mathematics and statistics.

Working knowledge of G Suite and cloud-based project management tools. Expert proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel.

Excellent communication skills.

Desire to work as part of a team with a results-driven approach.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Fluent verbal and written English. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

5-7 years progressive experience in manufacturing
