HR Manager


This new position is one of several added in conjunction with our upcoming move and expansion in Lawrence.

In this newly created position, you’ll be responsible for applying your business knowledge and human resources expertise while performing a wide range of HR-related duties. You’ll have the opportunity to lead and take initiative in a fast-growing young company by offering guidance on HR best practices while facilitating a positive and inclusive relationship between production and administrative team members. 



Lawrence MA-based, 99Degrees Custom was founded in 2013 to transition US manufacturing into an advanced manufacturing industry through speed, agility, technology and a commitment to our region and workforce. We are a US contract manufacturer who produces technical activewear and wearable technologies for the most forward thinking global and high growth brands. We incubate advanced concepts, develop, prototype and sample, and produce in the US with unprecedented speed and agility. We have been recognized with top prizes from MIT’s Inclusive Innovation Competition, MassChallenge and EforAll business accelerators and have been featured on NPR, PRI, MSNBC, and in the Boston Globe.



This position carries out responsibilities in HR functional areas including recruiting, onboarding/assimilation, employee relations, organizational & employee development, performance management, policy implementation, affirmative action and employment law compliance.

and possesses:

  • Bilingual fluency in English/Spanish

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field

  • 5 – 7 years progressive HR experience; start-up and/or manufacturing a plus

  • Understanding of HR best practices, current regulations and local & federal employment/labor laws

  • Experience guiding company culture, use of KBIs, soft skills initiatives, employee engagement, HR metrics, key behavioral indicators, excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience developing and maintaining effective relationships with employees at all levels of the organization

  • Desire to work as part of a team with a result-driven approach
